Our sailing was 1 October and the testing and embarkation process was smooth and well ordered.
As we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary during the trip around the British Isles, we had booked a Q3 Queens Grill Penthouse.
The stateroom was spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space and a large separate shower as well ass whirlpool bath.
Our butler, Manny, was attentive and fulfilled every request, including finding and having delivered an arm chair as my husband found the sofa a little bit too low to get up easily.
Location on the ship was perfect (4106 midships) but we were also fortunate in having very good weather and mostly calm seas, even having the opportunity to sit on the balcony in the sun several times.
We had a lovely window table in the restaurant and the food was of good quality and beautifully presented; and the staff worked hard to please every guest.
On the evening of our anniversary we had pre-ordered a special menu and were presented with a beautiful cake decorated with cream and fresh fruit.
Covid protocols were in place and we felt very safe.
although some were unhappy that you were not able to leave the ship except on a booked excursion.
However, for us, the ship is as much of a destination and we enjoyed the Grills Lounge, the Library and the relaxation of being completely looked after for 12 days.
We were delighted to be back on board a Cunard ship once again and feel they lived up to expectations despite the constraints placed on cruising at the time.
