This cruise was booked on basis of 2 ports of call that did not happen, Corsica & Sardinia, they were substituted by Toulon & Villefranche.
These ports were a way out of town, with little in the way of transport available.
The ship in general was good.
There seemed to be a shortage of sunbeds (according to ship staff) who were not helpful in obtaining sunbeds.
The Windjammer buffet breakfast appeared to be very iggledy/piggledy in layout of food ie bacon on 1 island counter with grilled eggs on a different counter! We had a stateroom on deck 8 overlooking the Royal Parade, the room was large in comparison to Princess & P&O ships we have cruised before, special mention being 2 settee’s and large kingsize bed, bed very comfortable.
Bathroom again larger than previous ships we have travelled.
Entertainment was good and varied.
Be warned certain shops/outlets ie Ben & Gerry’s were chargeable extras.
Drink prices I believed were reasonable.
Dining room staff very welcoming, special mention to “Rauldo” & “Danni” waiters on table 108.
Overall experience of ship was good but my preference was for smaller ship cruising.
