This was our first time on Arvia but we usually cruise with P&O.
This was a fantastic cruise for us.
Arvia was very busy as the school holidays had begun in some parts of the country which we hadn’t realised when booking.
However, this did have some upsides in terms of the variety of entertainment and a younger/fun crowd on the ship.
In particular we loved the variety of entertainment, something for everyone in our opinion from Spanish lessons, crafting through to tribute acts and live bands.
The food was excellent both quality and breadth of choice.
We enyojed wines in the glass house, particularly after going to a talk by Olly Smith.
There was a fun vibe on the ship and the crew were fantastic.
We had a deck 5 shaded balcony cabin, which we loved.
Very peaceful and close to the amenities on decks 6, 7 and 8.
When the sun shone (which was only for about half the cruise) it shone on to our balcony making it a sun trap and too hot to sit on.
It is a small balcony which may not suit everyone, particularly if there are more than 2 in the cabin.
The pools were very busy and on one occasion there were no clean towells to be had anywhere.
However, on a rainy day I had an infinity pool all to myself and there is something fun about swimming in the rain.
No cruise is perfect, but this came pretty close for us.
