I’ve been on a lot of cruises many with P&O and this was by far the worst one I have ever been on – the ship is very tired (I’ve been on it twice before and it has dramatically deteriorated since I was last on it) the food was of poor quality buffet ran out and although the waiters were five star what they served to the table in the set time restaurant was one star food.
Two of the three stops were chaotic and disorganised and people waiting to get off the ship were stood in queues for a long time before any explanation was given usually by a poor member of staff running up and down the queue.
Dress codes differed in speciality restaurants and we were booked in the epicurean but told we were not dressed properly yet in the Sindhi the dress code was different.
We booked a non alcoholic drinks package and the choice was poor and in the glass house they didn’t have on board three of the advertised drinks available.
Thank goodness our cabin was decent enough and our cabin boy was excellent.
All in all a very poor experience and we won’t be going on this ship again.
We were on the Iona last year and the comparison doesn’t even come close.
Most disappointing.
