It’s obvious that P&O are cutting corners to either save money or make more .
The breakfast meal options (ie MDR , or buffet) are now restricted by the early opening times of the MDR ,forcing people into the cheaper to run buffet.
And it shows , no trays , poor quality and not well cooked food prevail .
Also the amount of people trying to get breakfast felt like a scrum at times , the buffets regularly closed 15 mins early (MDRs too !)
There were no ‘known stars’ in the entertainment rosta either , but the Theatre productions by the P&O group were generally excellent .
Interest talks on our 14 day cruise were very few , and the ones I attended featured someone who obviously wasn’t an expert at all .
Don’t book a Spa thermal experience it’s a waste of money , only one out of the three rooms working properly and that one only held 2 people ! My partner said the special offer treatment session was ok though .
Had speciality Sindhu meal which was ok on my choices but partner said her was poor , the MDR meals generally ok , also with a signature choice now for small extra charge ( the pudding was the best £3 I ever spent on food )
Unfortunately the Epicurean afternoon tea was patchy , the whole top layer of food was stale and the others ok but not memorable (strangely the actual Tea was the best I had on board , others including Coffee all tainted by the over chemicalised water which tasted like a swimming pool at times ) we generally bought water ashore to drink and for hot drinks
Pushing and adverts for speciality dinning , shore excursions and spa treatments is get intrusive.Theyre also desperate to sell you another cruise .
Crew were generally very good despite being over-Worked
Toilets on our section continually broke down but the ship is in fairly good condition and kept clean .
