First cruise with P&O since lockdown & how standards have slipped.
No problem boarding & the Carribbean luch was very good.
Downhill after that apart from second caribbean lunch which was also good.
No flannels in bathroom & only one visit from cabin steward a day.
No turndown & no chocolate! No port guides in cabin or on TV.
Greatly reduced food menu, down to three courses with soups taken into starters & cheese taken into deserts.
Smaller choices all round as well, compared to a pre covid menu i have just looked at.
Cheese plate uninspiring – a wedge of average cheddar, wedge of something red & a small wedge of blue cheese.
No more stilton on offer.
Food bland as well.
Difficult to get a table in buffet because people were lingering after eating & not vacating tables.
Playing cards instead! Buffet food also uninspiring.
Speciality restaurants full all the time although when i looked into them they were half full!! Probable staffing issues which seemed to run through the ship.
Staff pushed to the limit but remained helpful & cheerful despite everything.
Have cruised Fred recently & all seems as before with them.
Trying Ambassador next.
I have a cruise on Aurora next Autumn so please buck up by then P&O or you won’t see me again.
You are just too ordinary & the special cruise experiance has gone.
Pile ’em high, sell ’em cheap seems the order of the day!!!!!
