Food in Zenith was acceptable but sometimes it came warm and with steak it was inedible – overcooked and tough.
We were affected by the Venezuela issue – not being able to fly home till 4 days after original fly home date.
In itself we were ok with continuing the cruise.
My issue is in relation to the captain and the quality, type and frequency of the information he was presenting.
For example he would say that there was only him that would provide info to us and no-one else, and that the flight information boards around the ship would be updated – and they werent.
Eventually when something did change it was poor and inadequate and said nothing of any detail.
Yet we couldnt ask anyone else (reception) because captain told us not to.
The afternoon of him telling us we were leaving the following day he said nothing about what to expect that day.
The flight board said meet in theatre at 8 am, but he never mentioned that.
When we got to theatre we were told we would have to get new boarding pass and luggage labels – which took 2.5 hours.
We then went to the airport.
We got nothing by way of provided food drink at airport and it wasnt till we boarded plane that pilot told us we were not going direct to Manchester but via Barbados to change crew and refuel – he apologised that we hadnt been told this by P&O (captain?) No-one on ship told us of this!!!!! As a result it was around 7pm that we departed Barbados and another hour before we received any food.
Our departure from St Lucia was supposed to be 3pm so we were starving when we got on.
