Are cruise date started on the 23rd November 2024 for 12 nights.
Can I say the entire cruise was a disaster from the start, we arrived late at the ship due to our coach delayed at the pickup point then being diverted towards London on the M40 due to problems on the road.
We missed our special lunch as it closed prompt at 3.00pm even though many of the coach passengers had not arrived.
Our first ship announcement was that due to hight winds the ship will stay in harbour for 24 hours and the visit to Madeira was cancelled.
The first two nights entertainment was totally disrupted or cancelled due to the ship movement and artist unable to perform, At our second port of call our all excursion were cancelled due to a coach strike.
If you sail regular with P & O the Headliners group shows are repeats from ages past although the singers/dancers were good the rest medium but very loud.
Three days before our return home the Nora Virus hits the ship with entertainment and food service greatly restricted.
In relation to food we mainly ate in the restaurants for breakfast and second sitting evening meals, that was good apart from no wine waiter and food served mainly warm but not hot.
We tried the buffet but gave up after difficulty find a table and back/forth collecting your meal.
(Why do people just sit there after eating reading or on the phone when people are struggling to sit) .While ship s condition was good the overall passenger dress standards have continued to slip.
The usual reduction in parts of the ships facilities took place consistant with P &O gradual dumbing down to services for regular passengers.
Finally our return coach was one hour late arriving leaving us all alone waiting for a lift home.
P & O still do a number of thing right but after the disappointment of this cruise I do not wish to comment.
