There was a lot to like on this cruise

Seven Seas Splendor

Our last cruise on Mariner was a little disappointing, mainly due to the condition of the ship and the inability to get seated in Compass Rose without a 30 minute wait.

We were very pleased to step aboard Splendor for our third cruise on this ship and happy to discover the ship was as good as we remember.

The food and service was exceptional in Chartreuse, Pacific Rim and Sette Mari.

Unfortunately for me the food in my favourite restaurant, Prime 7 was not so good serving up a steak that even their best steak knives would not cut.

The main disappointment for us was two changes in itinerary.

The first was when we boarded the ship we were informed that we would not now be getting to Reykjavik until 20-00hrs so we would not be able to have a tour.

The second was later in the cruise when we were informed that two of the three stops in Greenland would not be going ahead because of the ice around the ports and therefore, would spend extra days at sea.

This was disappointing to us since the only reason for going on this cruise was to visit Greenland.

In fairness to Regent they did give everyone one on board Future Cruise Credit without asking.

We are looking forward to our next cruise on Splendor this November.
