The ship felt tired and disappointing

On the first day when we entered the ship there was no happy greeting and there was no happy atmosphere that we have experienced before on all the ships we have been on.

Our cabin was smaller than expected but Ok.

The ship is magnificent but a little clinical.

I felt it lacked personality and there was no atmosphere.

The staff did not seem happy, they were not friendly and did not try very hard to do their job for example sitting in bar areas we were hardly approached to ask us if we wanted a drink.

When I questioned a waiter one evening after sitting at a table in the bar and waiting 25 minutes if we were allowed drinks he said” I didn’t think you wanted a drink!” Tables were not cleaned promptly, did not see staff wiping down hand rails or doors, public toilets breaking down particularly the disabled ones which my husband needed.

Decks were left with plates and glasses for a long time.

Didn’t see much management about and Capitan did not keep us informed on things.

We only found one member of staff who went over and beyond her duties when we were lost and she took her time to take us where we wanted.

Only on the last night the waiters were friendly, I expect hoping for a tip.

On the positive side there was plenty of space on the ship, loved all the hot tubs, Enjoyed deck 8, the food particularly the Fish and Chip bar.

Entertainment was passable but not enough fun activities.

The itinerary of Norway was excellent.

I liked all the ports we stopped in.

Last day getting of the boat was chaos again no word from the Capitan we were kept on board because there was problems getting the luggage off and when we did get off, the suitcases were not where they should have been so we were delayed for a long time.

After the experience we don’t feel we want to go on the ship again unless things improve greatly.

PS its normally the staff that makes the difference on a cruise holiday.
