What a cruise line, all the staff are great, can’t do enough for you.
The food was fantastic.
We did not need to use the two specially restaurants, as the food in the main dining room was so good, in the past with other lines you have to pay for the better food and service, But not with Azamara! The only thing that lets this ship down is the bedroom furniture, as this ship is old and has been refitted, I wish they had done a full job, and not just half! All new beds, and soft furnishings are new, but the bathrooms, fixed wardrobes and bedroom furniture looked tired, doors did not fit correctly and were scratched, the sink was marked and discoloured the tap had the chrome rubbed away.
Paint around windows both on passenger decks and in cabins was clearly rushed, as its just been splashed on, and had not been finished as the tops of the windows were left unpainted, and all needed another coat.
Shame as the rest was fantastic, I guess this was done to save money and to get the ship out making money, but cutting corners on things that matter is not a great.
I saw one of the suits and they have been completely overhauled, with new furniture, again most can’t afford this, so we are left with the old brown fitted furniture from 25 or more years ago.
This would not stop me from booking again with Azamara in fact we have booked another cruise for next year, as we relay enjoyed it far more than P&O who we traditionaly cruise with, they just need to do a proper job on the refit then it would be perfect.
