Cruised to eastern Europe on Ruby Princess.
Very good but not exceptional.
Positives start with the entertainment which was excellent, led by brilliant cruise director Dan Styne.
Lots of ports (perhaps too many in 11 days) and organisation was exemplary.
Staff were all very friendly and efficient and cleanliness was reassuringly good.
Negatives: food was good but in the main restaurants, lacked variety.
Waiters seemed to be under instructions to push bottled water, ‘special’ coffees, liqueurs.
This added to the overall impression on pricing and particularly drinks prices which were high.
People were making one drink last all night or sitting with empty glasses.
I would have thought reasonably priced drinks would mean more sales! It was only our second cruise and although very enjoyable, did not quite match our first experience with Royal Caribbean.
