Have done several cruises, mainly with P&O and really enjoyed this one to the Caribbean starting from Genoa on 15th October.
As my husband tries to avoid long haul flights this one to Genoa was ideal – cutting out the poor weather and unpredictable seas off Portugese coast and Bay of Biscay.
Stopping off in France, Monte Carlo, Majorca the Spanish mainland and Tenerife before setting sail to the Caribbean on flat calm seas.
Service was good,m the only change from earlier cruises being the dinner at night came already plated rather than the silver service we had had on earlier cruises – not quite as ‘posh’ but the food was piping hot on arrival so this seemed a small price to pay.
Entertainment was good, both lecturers and artistes – so good in fact that the theatre was unable to cope with the demand and you had to arrive very early to get a seat, this could be be a problem for diners not on freedom dining.
My only grouse is the lack of sun loungers – due mainly to people reserving them and not using them.
Stricter controls are n eeded here but it is not easy to legislate against thoughtless twerps.
A really good cruise helped by fabulous weather.
