Cruised in June 2022 on Azura from Malta.
Flight and check in went reasonably well.
Cabin and steward as expected except most toiletries not provided as before.
Food in Oriental was very disappointing.
Frozen green beans as veg on 12 of 14 nights.
Sent chicken back as undercooked and pink and fish batter was raw inside.
Quality and portion size main issues.
My wife had peas one night and there were 12 served on her plate with 7 chips.
We were allocated a table for 8 at 6.00pm.
Most nights we were the only ones on there.
there was obviously a lack of enthusiasm for club dining – time to follow other lines and go all freedom.
Most of the Oriental was empty whilst freedom restaurants had queues.
Entertainment was very mixed – some good shows .
Lack of variety.
Putting entertainment on outside at 5.30 on a formal night is not an option if you are on 6pm dinner.
Motor was not working in spa pool and one jacuzzi was obviously in need of maintenance.
We did not visit Mykonos due to high winds preventing docking – not P&O fault.
Overall our preferred cruise line was disappointing.
It is not good enough taking staff from one ship so another can start sailing – it leaves both understaffed and delivering a below standard service.
Covid protocols are there for a reason – they should be consistently enforced and not left to passengers to do as they please.
