First time with P&O for 3 years and clearly there have been changes – the same with all cruise lines.
But the service, food, entertainment, cabin etc were very good.
Prices on board were reasonable and it was a fantastic experience (though I have been to the Baltic before) but I still have two issues Tips – the cruise was for 16 nights so to pay £12 per cabin = £192 There were two waiters and two cabin staff which equates to £48 each Our Cabin stewardess (and assistant) looked after 17 cabins = £816 Or have a I got my sums wrong? Also we did book a shore excursion – yes I know that they are not good value.
This was to 3 sites in Riga and left to look around on your own.
I booked these before we went expecting that it would be a long drive from the port to Riga.
Got on the bus and waited 10 minutes for two latecomers Drove passed the ship for 300 yards to our first stop Got back on after the allotted hour drove back the 300 yards to the ship and another 400 yards to our next stop Here we told the young girl(she was not a guide)that we would not be returning Riga is a lovely stop and you can comfortably walk around in 3 to 4 hours The bus would have gone no more than 2 miles with no guide and P&O thought £27 per head was good value Never again
