Like most people we were a little nervous about what to expect on any holiday abroad with Covid and quarantine so prevalent in everyone’s minds: we needn’t have been worried! We travelled on the 7 day Greek Islands cruise from Athens on the Jade and from start to finish everything went really well.
Airport check in was good at Manchester due to limited people flying which was a positive start.
Once in Athens the Greek authorities were excellent in promoting and enforcing strong safety protocols and this continued to the dockside.
Although the pre-boarding tests were a bit slow to return results this was understandable given the importance placed on safety by NCL.
Once onboard mask wearing was a requirement in indoor spaces due to Greek regulations, but this get just like being at home.
The staff were attentive, friendly and professional as ever with NCL with a full range of entertainment, restaurants and excursions.
With lower capacity, we could eat, drink and enjoy all the facilities in absolute safety.
On coming back to the UK I would have to say that this felt like the safest place we could have had a holiday and we have already re-booked for 2022 and 2023!
