This is our first ever cruise and it was a Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral.
We went with my parents who have been on lots of cruises with P&O, Cunard and Norwegian.
We had a family suite with a balcony.
Although the room was nice and clean it was far too small for a family of 4.
The fourth bed comes from the ceiling but the space with just the sofa (which acts as the 3 bed was so tight so adding the 4 bed just made it totally unworkable.
My parents had an inside room which was the cheapest option and they had a lot more floor space for only 2 people.
The ship was fully booked so was really packed this meant that there was no where near enough sun loungers for all the guests.
We only had one day out of the 7 that we could get a lounger.
This was very disappointing.
The standard of food and the drinks were outstanding.
However the ship was 99% American guests which made the ship very loud, the dress of an evening was very casual and the staff were run ragged there didn’t seem to be enough bar staff for the amount of guests.
It was also very difficult to see some of the shows as they were fully booked by the end of day one.
The trips to Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Bahamas were lovely.
As my parents have experienced lots of cruises and they were disappointed purely because the ship was far too busy we will give Norwegian another try but on a smaller ship.
