7 day cruise Vancouver to Whittier then 4 day land tour to Denali and Fairbanks.
Alaska is awesome – big, big, big country.
Port visits Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway good and generally well organised.
Excursions we did good.
Do take the Yukon train in Skagway.
McKinley resort in Denali good, but we were not told the best part of tundra wilderness tour was not possible.
Horse and cart experience mis-sold.
Fairbanks good.
On cruise ship Lido buffet unable to cope at busy periods, and Holland America need to get a grip with baggage drop at Vancouver.
Always chasing crowds and queues (not our cup of tea) but have to put up with this – as after all this is Alaska.
