We have just returned from our first cruise on the Azamara Journey.
The staff are so friendly and efficient.
The food is top-quality fine dining.
The service in the restaurant, bars, and the stateroom is excellent.
Everywhere is immaculately clean.
Apart from one or two areas needing a coat of fresh paint, my real negative is the lack of discipline regarding dress in the restaurant.
I know that some people prefer smart casual instead of formal dress, but jeans, t-shirts and open-toed sandals are not the attire one would expect to be allowed in the restaurant from a cruise of this standard.
I’m not a snob, but far from a slob and this prevented the evening meal occasion from feeling “special” for me.
Be prepared and don’t “overdress” for dinner.
