I was very impressed with Azamara’s staff, they were always happy to help and really couldn’t do enough for us.
The food was amazing and the waiters would always advise which wine to have with each course.
Our cabin stewards were great we had a queen bed but needed a twin we didn’t see them straight away but left a note on the bed and when we returned from evening meal we had twin beds.
The cabin was a lot bigger than what I thought, we had a sofa and table.
The bathroom was a good size the only thing I thought let them down a little was the shower curtain I thought this could have been shower doors for a 6* company.
The drinks package that you get included is great with a wide range of spirts, beers and cocktails available.
My favourite was the strawberry daiquiri.
The waiters at meal times recommended wines to go with each course and would go to great lengths to make us happy.
We had a table for 10 on the first night in the main restaurant and we all ordered different things and the food came out together hot and very good quality.
I have been on a few ship visits for the day and can say that the food on Azamara is the best.
Having never cruised before I was very impressed with the quickness of checking in, after handing over our card details we were given our room cards and off we went to find our room, after dropping our bags off in our cabin off we went to explore the ship, first were the Cabaret lounge, discoveries restaurant (main dining room) via the casino and mosaicCafe.
We then went to the open decks which I was surprised to find out how spacious everything was, the sun lounges were very plush with the pool and hot tubs in the middle, the was a pool bar which had 4 or 5 tables and also stools at the bar.
Then onto a nosy at the buffet which was great and my favourite part of the ship is the terrace on the back which you can sit out and eat.
The drawing room is fab with books catering for all readers and they also hosted events on there for example the hotel manager was German and they had a few German guests onboard so they arranged a little get together.
The speciality dining restaurants were fab we dined in Aqualina which was sea food, if I ever get to go on again I would love to try Prime which is a steak house as I am not overly a sea food person.
The looking glass which is the night club/bar was good with a DJ or live bands playing each night.
Every night when we got back to the cabin the stewards had done the turn down service and also placed a leaflet on our beds with information of events happening the following day from fitness classes to quizzes and everything in between.
There was also information all about the port we visited and the top things to do there.
Check out was very quick after going to reception and settling out accounts they scanned us out and helped us get a taxi to the airport.
