Adventure of the Seas

After a disastrous start- (the ship limped into San Juan with the help of tugs, after breaking down on the previous cruise) we spent 3 days in San Juan whilst they tried to fix the propellor.

We missed Barbados and St Maarten.

Initially the communication from RCI was shambolic, but in fairness to them, they offered everyone the chance to cancel their cruise with a refund, and those that chose to stay on board were given 100% refund on their cruise plus 50% off the next one.

We had to stay as our flights were not until the following Sunday, so we had a free cruise and visited Antigua, St Croix and St Lucia.

Overall the cruise was fine.

The food and entertainment were only average , but we didn’t starve! The ship is in planned dry dock for a re-fit, which it desperately needed, even before the mechanical problem.

I applaud RCI for accepting their responsibilities with no questions asked.
